As part of regular maintenance of GWO’s standards suite, 4th December 2023 marks the revision of a small number of standards (detailed below), GWO Entry Level Framework (V3) as well as the launch of GWO’s Instructor Qualification Standard. Also revised at this point are two standards (details below) along with GWO’s Requirements for Training and Requirements for Certification. The salient changes in the Requirements facilitate the introduction of the alternative approach to instructor qualification.
Following GWO standard review processes, the Entry Level Framework and the following standards and modules have been updated:
• Control of Hazardous Energies Standard
• Control of Hazardous Energies Refresher Standard
The revisions predominantly concern changes in terminology and numbering. The changes do not significantly affect technical aspects of lessons. Full details on all changes can be found in the change log provided with each Standard.
The latest versions of GWO’s Requirements for Training (V14) and Requirements for Certification (V13) are now available. The revisions mainly focuses on the links between the existing ‘POCD’ process to the Instructor Qualification Standard.
The updated standards, frameworks and requirements are downloadable via the GWO website here.
To learn more, join GWO at one of two webinars in January 2024 . Both sessions include a Q&A session with relevant project managers and will cover all standards and frameworks in the December release.
