GWO Expands Strategic Partnerships & Network Development Capacities

Meeting the needs of GWO's expanding renewable energy community is a key driver for additional Secretariat resources

The Partnerships and Network Development Group at GWO welcomes two new team members, with Sergei Perapechka joining as Strategic Partnerships Developer and Eduardo González Meneses taking on the role of Network Development Manager (EMEA). The Partnerships and Network Development Group also includes Dan Ortega, Network Development Manager (Americas) and Haiqing Wang, Market Analyst

Sergei Perapechka brings more than two decades of international experience as a consultant, including 18 years with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) at managing director and partner level. In his role as Head of Business Development and Partnership for Strategic Decarbonisation Projects at A.P. Møller-Mærsk, he worked on feasibility analysis of production of green fuels for the shipping industry. Sergei’s expertise in strategy and business development, particularly in the areas of sustainability and ESG, will be an asset to the growing demand for establishing new strategic partnerships with GWO members across the globe.

Eduardo González Meneses has more than 10 years’ expertise in Account and Customer Success Management and joins GWO after spending over five years as a Key Account Manager at Trustpilot, which saw him responsible for the implementation of client, project and account management and online reputation strategies. With his extensive knowledge of customer success management, Eduardo’s role will be central in building on the foundational network of current GWO members and training providers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Ralph Savage, Director of Global Development & Stakeholder Relations at GWO, explains:

The wind industry needs to recruit enough adequately trained workers. Global standards like GWO match the training needs of international OEMs and developers and policy makers are searching for a reliable way to invest in upskilling young people and transitioning workers. Bridging the gap between industry need and public policy requires a strong case for ‘employability’. This is why we have invested in our team and I am delighted to welcome Sergei and Eduardo. The Partnerships and Network Development Group will work closely to support our network of training providers to expand their impact and to establish strategic partnerships that multiply our ability to grow workforce in the renewable energy industry.
