A Global Wind Organisation team will demonstrate the benefits and opportunities of global safety training standards at a key conference in the USA next week.
The group is heading to California for the American Wind Energy Association’s annual O&M and Safety conference and will present to AWEA’s Operations Steering Committee on Wednesday 28th February.
Led by Chief Executive Jakob Lau Holst and GWO Training Committee Chair John Barrie, the team will join several hundred safety professionals from across the US wind turbine industry for workshops, knowledge sharing and networking.
“This is a key global event for GWO,” said Jakob. “But we are not there to demonstrate GWO alone. The US has a very well-established safety culture and I believe our collective agenda is already aligned; to create an injury-free working environment in the wind energy industry.”
