Join us for a Summer Standards release and updates webinar with the Project Manager.

The absence of a recognised industry standard for practical training in Hand Tool Awareness and Dropped Objects Prevention has resulted in increased safety risks, a higher frequency of incidents and a noticeable impact on the quality of craftmanship.

The introduction of standardised training will significantly improve safety measures by ensuring that personnel are equipped with the knowledge and abilities required to handle hand tools correctly and safely, including pre-use inspection of tools. This, in turn, will contribute to a reduction in incidents related to incorrect tool usage.

The amendments to training standards will furthermore focus on dropped-objects prevention through tethering practices and proper housekeeping practices. By educating workers on the importance of tethering accessories, proper usage and responsible housekeeping the risk of tools and equipment falling from heights during wind turbine operations will be substantially mitigated, enhancing overall safety on worksites.
